Google Organizes the World
I have always been amazed with what Google gets away with. I mean take a look at their Mission of “to organize the world’’s information and make it universally accessible and useful” or their anthem of ” Do no evil”, it does”nt fly with what I learned in Marketing 101 regarding mission statements or company objectives. Its sounds very ambitious, maybe even a bit arrogant, similar to my mate’’s mission one New Years eve, to kiss all the girls in Plettenberg Bay. He came close ( about 27) but never had a chance with the other 2000.
In spite of this, it does work for Google and their mission sounds believable. It is believable because Google is unlike any other company in history and cannot be defined by conventional business models. Business Week has a great article on how the Google stem cell organisation is developing.
If this bores you, like a true techie, checkout these pics of my weekend annihilation of Perdeberg 4×4 trail. There was some pretty hectic stuff, including a few category 5 obsticles.
